Every student hears the guide, even in a busy museum
The teacher or guide talks normally into a phone; students listen through their own earbuds, so nobody at the back misses a word — and nobody has to shout over the other groups.
How it works
Prepare a room before the trip
Create a broadcast room and send the QR code or link with the trip details.
Students scan once at the start
They open it in the phone's browser — no app, no account, no sign-up.
Talk as you go
Everyone hears you through their earbuds — on the bus, in the museum or in the old town.
Why teachers use SpeakMic
A whole class, or a whole year
Up to 100 students in one room — more with relay rooms.
Walkie-talkie for the staff
Teachers and chaperones coordinate in a separate push-to-talk room the students don't hear — or call each other privately.
Only your group
Set a PIN so only your class can join the room.
Frequently asked questions
Does every student need a smartphone?
Every listener needs a phone with mobile data or WiFi, and earbuds. Anyone without a phone can simply stay next to the guide.
Does it work on a trip abroad?
Yes, wherever the students have mobile data or WiFi. Check that their plans include data roaming — listening uses about 15 MB per hour.
Do students have to create accounts?
No. There are no accounts and no sign-up: listeners join with a link or QR code and don't enter any name.
What if there's no signal, e.g. in a cave or on a trail?
Where there's no coverage, SpeakMic Offline for Android connects the phones directly over WiFi Direct and Bluetooth, without the internet.
