What is the walkie-talkie mode in SpeakMic?
Walkie-talkie mode lets up to 20 people join a push-to-talk voice chat. One person speaks at a time by holding the Talk button, just like a real walkie-talkie radio. It's useful for coordinating event staff, field teams, or any group that needs quick two-way communication.
Can two people in a walkie-talkie room talk privately?
Yes. In a walkie-talkie room you can tap a participant and start a private call: the other person must accept, then the two of you talk directly like on a phone while the room is muted for you (or plays quietly in the background if you choose). The room's host can still announce something to everyone. The host can turn private calls off for the room.
Does SpeakMic work on mobile phones?
Yes. SpeakMic works in any modern mobile browser on Android and iOS. It can also be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) directly from the browser — no app store needed.
